Responsibilities
- Build reference architectures, how-to materials, production-grade MVPs, and greenfield projects for customers.
- Guide strategic customers through transformational big data projects and third-party migrations, including end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
- Consult on architecture and design and implement strategic customer projects to support Databricks evaluation and adoption.
- Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
- Coordinate with Databricks technical teams, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver technical engagement components.
- Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and resolve engagement-specific issues.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, cloud-native technologies, and data lakes in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
- Ability to write code in Python or Scala.
- Experience with technical project delivery, including managing scope and timelines.
- Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
- Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
- Technical skills supporting the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions.
- Ability to travel to customers 20–30% of the time.
- Databricks Certification is preferred.
