Base Salary
$110k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate scalable backend software solutions aligned with business needs.
- Analyze system requirements and customize applications for optimal functionality.
- Develop and maintain Django-based APIs, support tools, and ad-serving systems.
- Participate throughout the software development life cycle, including testing, deployment, releases, and application integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in software applications and systems.
- Own production deployments and support reliable backend services at scale.
- Conduct code reviews and promote code quality, operational excellence, system reliability, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster technical knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to verify that software meets technical specifications.
- Synthesize market research and industry trends to inform project strategies and product offerings.
- Train operational staff on internally developed applications.
- Work variable schedules, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working with Python and Django.
- Experience creating and developing RESTful APIs using Django.
- Experience with PHP.
- Experience with Kubernetes/EKS and AWS.
- Experience owning production deployments at scale for critical backend services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- The posting lists 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
- AdTech or advertising industry experience is preferred.
