Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead forward-deployed technical delivery for defense, intelligence, aerospace, and allied government customers.
- Design, build, and deploy data science, AI/ML, integration, workflow automation, and analytics solutions.
- Architect API-led integrations across REST, SOAP, and event-driven patterns using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or equivalent tools.
- Design workflow automation and process orchestration solutions using Regrello or comparable platforms.
- Build data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, feature engineering workflows, predictive models, and LLM-augmented applications.
- Partner with customer IT and security teams to support Authority to Operate and production go-lives in DoD IL5/IL6 environments.
- Translate mission priorities into technical roadmaps and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to create reusable integration patterns, templates, and data science capabilities.
- Mentor junior Forward Deployed Engineers and share field lessons with the broader engineering organization.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience delivering high-quality, scalable production solutions, ideally in customer-facing or field-deployed settings.
- Strong background in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- Expert proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, Java, or SQL.
- Extensive experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions, including model development, MLOps pipelines, LLM integration, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks.
- Expertise with enterprise integration and API-led connectivity platforms such as MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Dell Boomi, Apigee, or Azure API Management.
- Expertise with workflow orchestration and process automation platforms such as Regrello, Temporal, Prefect, or Apache Airflow.
- Deep data modeling, processing, and analytics experience with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and streaming data pipelines is preferred.
- Experience with LLM-augmented solutions in regulated or classified industries is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and regulated-environment DevSecOps practices is preferred.
- Relevant MuleSoft, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Azure, or data science certifications are preferred.
- Prior forward-deployed, field engineering, embedded technical advisor, defense, aerospace, military logistics, DoD, Intelligence Community, or federal agency experience is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen living on U.S. soil without dual citizenship.
- Must be eligible for and willing to obtain a U.S. government security clearance and complete the required background investigation.
- Must be able to travel 50–75% of the time to customer sites, including classified facilities.
