Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a portfolio of hardened container images.
  • Design and operate automated pipelines that build, test, scan, sign, publish, promote, and retire images across environments and architectures.
  • Write tooling and tests for security compliance and cloud-native compatibility.
  • Collaborate with communities, partners, product security, platform, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams.
  • Define image standards covering security, compatibility, performance, size, and developer experience.
  • Provide technical input to decisions, document the work, and grow the knowledge base.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to hiring.
  • Work in a globally distributed environment and travel internationally for company events and other activities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Bash and Python.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Experience building container images and command of Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems, package management, build systems, release engineering, or artifact pipelines.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, a STEM field, or a similar discipline.
  • Relevant experience range is 0–7 years.
  • Business-level written and spoken English and an exceptional academic record from high school and university.
  • Preferred experience includes dependency and vulnerability assessment, software supply chain security, SBOMs, signatures, provenance, CVE reports, minimal or distroless images, OCI specifications, security and compliance frameworks, open source contributions, and Linux, container, or cloud-native certifications.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows, Go or Rust, and responsible use of AI or agentic development is desirable.
