Responsibilities
- Integrate HID PACS components and report on end-to-end system performance, stability, reliability, and user experience.
- Maintain and evolve the systems and solutions laboratory, including test benches, equipment, samples, automation setups, and 24/7 operational support.
- Research, plan, design, and execute system-level test plans covering functional, UX/UAT, interoperability, stress, reliability, performance, and non-functional requirements.
- Develop automation tools and Hardware-in-the-Loop setups for manual and automated testing.
- Define test entry criteria, identify real-world use cases, and validate user experience across hardware, firmware, mobile applications, and cloud platforms.
- Collect and analyze baseline, performance, and reliability data and produce clear test reports for stakeholders.
- Investigate customer issues, support defect triage, identify gaps in testing processes, and contribute to continuous improvements and shift-left validation.
- Collaborate with engineering, embedded QA, product management, and other stakeholders to define objectives, clarify requirements, and resolve issues.
- Support test-driven development practices, PACS development roadmap initiatives, Agile/SAFe ceremonies, and value-stream planning and reporting.
- Perform hands-on system integration, configuration, wiring, troubleshooting, lab testing, and occasional travel or fieldwork.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronic engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5–7 years of software testing experience focused on UX/UAT validation.
- Experience with UX and UAT testing for mobile applications integrated with physical products in real-world environments.
- System-level testing experience across hardware, firmware, mobile applications, and cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks, embedded development, and programming languages such as C#, Python, C, C++, XAML, and Node.js.
- Experience with Appium, Selenium, application development environments, code repositories, artifact management, defect tracking, test management, visual collaboration, and analytics or visualization tools.
- Experience with API testing and scripting using tools such as Postman is desirable.
- Experience with macOS, Android, iOS, Linux, SQL or Firebase, and wired or wireless protocols including BLE, NFC, UWB, TCP/IP, HTTP, MQTT, OSDP, and RS-485.
- Comfort working with physical hardware, wiring diagrams, installation manuals, lab equipment, and embedded or automation hardware such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, sensors, and motors.
- Ability to analyze and communicate system performance and test outcomes, interpret technical specifications, standards, and documentation, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- ISTQB CTFL or equivalent UX/UAT testing certification is highly desirable.
- SAFe for Teams, Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile certifications and experience in Agile/SAFe delivery environments are highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and agentic AI workflows such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, or Claude is required.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to validate assumptions and provide clear feedback.
