Base Salary
$170k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, automate, and deploy cloud-based software features in production.
- Design and implement managed Cloud Services based on requirements.
- Participate in incident management and 24/7 on-call rotations to resolve production issues within SLAs and SLOs.
- Lead feature delivery across the full software development lifecycle, including project specifications, design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery.
- Monitor and improve system health, availability, latency, performance, and reliability using Google tooling.
- Perform bug fixes, specification updates, customer root-cause analyses, and automation work.
- Mentor junior team members, participate in interviews, and contribute to building high-performance teams.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of C, C++, or Golang.
- Experience with Python and Java or C-sharp is an advantage.
- Experience with scripting and infrastructure automation using tools or languages such as Ansible, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
- Strong understanding of Linux or other Unix-like operating systems.
- Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge and expertise in REST API design and implementation.
- Prior filesystem development and distributed systems design experience is desirable.
- Deep knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, and serverless computing implementation.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, distributed systems, and DevOps development methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple moderately complex technical tasks.
- Strong familiarity with Google Cloud preferred, or with other hyperscalers such as AWS or Azure.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a master's degree, or equivalent experience.
