Base Salary
$148k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, automate, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions and managed Cloud Services.
- Lead the design and implementation of managed Cloud Services and participate in the full software development lifecycle.
- Participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, delivery, and authoring project specifications.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call incident management rotations every two weeks to resolve production issues within agreed SLAs and SLOs.
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and measure system health, availability, and latency.
- Improve system and application performance, availability, and reliability through proactive operational improvements.
- Troubleshoot production outages, implement bug fixes and updates, support customer root-cause analyses, and build automation.
- Work on filesystem development and distributed-system design as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in C++ or Golang.
- Experience with Python; Java or C# experience is an advantage.
- Experience with scripting and infrastructure automation using tools or languages such as Ansible, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
- Thorough understanding of Linux or other Unix-like operating systems.
- Strong data structures and algorithms skills and expertise in REST API design and implementation.
- Deep working knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, and serverless computing implementation.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles, distributed systems, and DevOps development methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple moderately complex technical tasks.
- Strong familiarity with Google Cloud is preferred, along with experience with other hyperscalers such as AWS or Azure.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
