Base Salary
$77k - $107k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop application enhancements using application development procedures, scripting tools, and code analysis.
- Build and support customer-facing systems in collaboration with users, clients, and cross-functional technology teams.
- Translate functional requirements into clear software design specifications and implement reliable programming solutions.
- Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security risks, and conduct testing and debugging to ensure software integrity.
- Identify root causes of technical issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Advise senior stakeholders and team members as a subject matter expert, and mentor junior analysts.
- Evaluate technical and business decisions with attention to risk, compliance, and sound engineering judgment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience with the ability to work independently and own technical deliverables.
- Practical knowledge of application development concepts, programming languages, and software design principles.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, evaluate options, and implement well-reasoned technical solutions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Financial services experience and knowledge of its regulatory and operational environment are beneficial.
- Familiarity with security analysis and vulnerability assessment in enterprise application environments is beneficial.
- Experience advising or mentoring junior engineers and contributing to knowledge sharing is beneficial.
