Responsibilities
- Design, train, and optimize deep neural networks for image-based classification, regression, detection, and re-identification.
- Develop real-time inference architectures for platforms with limited computing resources.
- Evaluate machine learning approaches against performance, computing, and hardware constraints.
- Contribute to data acquisition, annotation, model training, evaluation, optimization, and product integration.
- Develop tools for efficiently training, retraining, testing, and deploying machine learning models.
- Evaluate technologies, recommend new approaches, and integrate relevant solutions into products.
- Design and test proofs of concept and prototypes for emerging technologies and future products.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, with machine learning specialization or relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on deep learning experience, ideally developing and deploying models for real-world applications.
- Strong skills in applied research, experimentation, problem-solving, scientific literature review, and applying new approaches to practical challenges.
- Fluency in French and English, both verbal and written.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with at least one object-oriented language such as C++, C#, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras, plus good knowledge of Git and software development practices.
- Experience with object detection, classification, recognition, object tracking, image processing, or computer vision is an asset.
- Experience with Docker, cloud environments, embedded systems, resource-constrained platforms, or Linux is an asset.
