Base Salary

$145k - $196k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build end-to-end AI-powered product features spanning React and TypeScript UI through Node.js and Python backend services.
  • Translate RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and structured reasoning into intuitive interactions for compliance practitioners.
  • Partner with AI Engineers to define API contracts and output schemas.
  • Advocate for users, identify breakdowns in model outputs, and iterate on the product layer.
  • Build feedback loops that capture and operationalize signals about AI output quality.
  • Instrument AI features with product-level observability and create integration and end-to-end tests.
  • Establish reusable streaming hooks, feedback components, and AI state-management patterns.
  • Mentor engineers newer to AI product development and participate in engineering and product design reviews.
  • Help define consistent AI product standards, influence the roadmap, and accelerate future AI feature delivery.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience shipping full-stack production features.
  • At least 1 year of experience working on AI-powered product features.
  • Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript and experience building responsive interfaces for asynchronous, streaming, and real-time data.
  • Solid Python and Node.js skills and experience designing and consuming APIs integrated with LLM providers, orchestration frameworks, or AI services.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic, prompt engineering, context management, RAG, quality and evaluation systems, and structured outputs.
  • Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or custom runtimes.
  • Experience implementing SSE, WebSockets, or chunked HTTP streaming patterns and UIs handling progressive, partial, and uncertain outputs.
  • Strong product sense and experience collaborating with AI/ML engineers, product managers, and designers in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in compliance, security, GRC, or other document-heavy enterprise domains is a bonus.
  • Experience with MCP or similar tool-use interfaces, RAG system design, or AI-output feedback and annotation tooling is a bonus.
