Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engineering application software for ship and offshore plan approval and review in the structural discipline.
  • Coordinate with internal and external users on software applications and testing.
  • Improve user experience and support smooth project implementation with relevant teams.
  • Collect user feedback, monitor industry software trends, and recommend software improvements.
  • Collaborate with organizational teams and perform occasional visits to plants, field sites, or marine vessels.

Requirements

  • Completion of an engineering curriculum with a B.S. or equivalent, or a professional or chartered engineer license.
  • Five years of relevant engineering experience in a shipyard, design or consulting office, shipping or oil company, university, or classification society is preferred.
  • Knowledge of naval architecture and ocean engineering, fluid mechanics, mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in software development and programming languages or tools such as C#, Python, AQWA, and C++.
  • Familiarity with classification society rules, applicable maritime regulations, and classification calculation tools.
  • Experience with PATRAN, FEMAP, and FEGATE is advantageous.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and willing to learn new knowledge and technologies.
