Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work with customers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and apply the AI operations platform to customer problems.
- Translate requirements into technical approaches, designs, estimates, and execution plans.
- Lead execution teams to deliver project outcomes on schedule while making hands-on technical contributions.
- Design, orchestrate, and automate complex data pipelines and algorithms in modern architectures.
- Guide development of machine learning models and custom analytics for image, video, text, geospatial, time-series, and structured data.
- Conduct customer-site fieldwork and interface with customers and stakeholders.
- Improve engineering practices, identify reusable functionality, expand company opportunities, and accelerate time to value.
- Inform future platform capabilities and present technical vision and outcomes to customers.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in data science, machine learning, computer science, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong Python expertise and knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, plus familiarity with systems programming languages such as Go, Rust, C++, Java, or Scala.
- Experience designing and delivering algorithms, data structures, production analytics, and design patterns in cloud environments.
- Experience defining, scoping, planning, and delivering complex technical solutions in production environments.
- Proficiency with software engineering tools and processes including version control, issue tracking, CI/CD, and debugging.
- Ability to lead, manage, and mentor small cross-functional teams across office, remote, and customer-site settings.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders through documents, presentations, and conversations.
- Active Secret or higher US security clearance.
- US citizenship is required.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes and horizontally scaled architectures.
- Preferred knowledge of messaging systems such as NATS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Preferred experience building AI agents and workflows.
- Preferred experience with multispectral imagery, full-motion video, acoustic or sonar signals, synthetic aperture radar, or hardware telemetry.
- Preferred experience delivering technology solutions in secure government environments.
