Lead Software Engineer (Python, AWS)

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers.
- Build solutions using distributed microservices and full-stack systems to meet regulatory needs.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Use Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, Scala, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Mentor engineering community members, stay current with technology trends, and periodically code or evaluate code.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud required.
- Preferred: master’s degree.
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience with Java or Python.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with open source frameworks.
- Preferred: 1+ years of people management experience.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with PySpark or Spark.
- Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion is preferred.

- Full-time annual salary is $215,200–$245,600 for work performed in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA.
