Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end: design, build, test, deploy, and operate in production.
- Write clean, tested Python and React code and participate in code reviews.
- Design and build APIs and integrations between systems.
- Work with domain experts and stakeholders to understand business processes and turn them into working software.
- Contribute to technical design decisions.
- Navigate a fast-moving environment where requirements change often and ambiguity is normal.
- Debug and resolve production issues; monitor and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate remotely with team and stakeholders; periodic on-site travel (~1 week/quarter) for planning and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- 5+ years software engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills; production React experience.
- Experience building and shipping production applications on AWS.
- API design and integration patterns.
- Comfort working independently in a remote-first environment and making pragmatic technical decisions.
- Strong written communication: you document decisions and communicate async effectively.
- Availability for periodic travel to Nevada (~1 week/quarter).
