Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production operations.
- Write clean, tested Python and React code and participate in code reviews.
- Design and build APIs and integrations between systems.
- Work with domain experts and stakeholders to understand business processes and turn them into working software.
- Contribute to technical design decisions.
- Prioritize and adapt effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with changing requirements.
- Debug and resolve production issues and monitor and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate remotely with the team and stakeholders and participate in periodic on-site planning and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and production React experience.
- Experience building and shipping production applications on AWS.
- Experience with API design and integration patterns.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment and make pragmatic technical decisions.
- Strong written communication, including documenting decisions and communicating asynchronously.
- Availability for periodic travel to Nevada of approximately one week per quarter.
- Preferred: direct experience with ERP systems, WMS, supply chain software, or procurement platforms.
- Preferred: manufacturing, logistics, or recycling industry experience.
- Preferred: event-driven architecture or workflow orchestration experience.
- Preferred: remote work experience on distributed engineering teams.
