Responsibilities
- Develop test plans and define, implement, and execute WiFi test cases for whole-home WiFi products.
- Support test automation, manual testing, ad hoc engineering-debug tests, and UI/API automation.
- Maintain and scale WiFi test labs and validate integration, MAC-layer functionality, routing, networking, and host-layer applications.
- Review specifications and support FCC/ETSI regulatory compliance testing, including DFS, Adaptivity, and CBP.
- Write detailed bug reports, report test results and plan status, and collaborate with software, TPM, vendor, QA, and management teams.
- Drive testing improvements and projects from start to finish, including WiFi lab bring-up through production, while guiding team members.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of quality assurance engineering experience, with the posting also listing 3+ years for QA engineering and manual testing.
- Experience with automation testing, manual testing, and UI/API automation using Selenium and SOAPUI.
- At least 3 years of experience maintaining and scaling WiFi test labs.
- At least 3 years of experience with 802.11ac/ax/be, Ethernet, and networking protocols including DHCP, DNS, ARP, and ICMP.
- At least 3 years of experience installing Linux, macOS, and Windows operating systems.
- At least 2 years of experience with RF equipment and tools.
- At least 1 year of experience with Python or Shell scripting.
- Preferred qualifications include API and mobile testing, test-condition and test-data design, embedded firmware testing, 802.11 physical-layer knowledge, end-to-end project leadership, WiFi lab bring-up, and debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with build systems and REST API development is preferred but not mandatory.
