Responsibilities
- Advise leadership and partner teams on business risks associated with security issues.
- Harden AWS, OCI, and GCP cloud-native environments through secure-by-default network, tooling, and process designs.
- Deploy secure architectures using infrastructure-as-code and reusable code libraries to enable engineers to use infrastructure securely at scale.
- Manage IAM and RBAC for cloud infrastructure and partner with IT on unified authentication and authorization.
- Deploy and operationalize security services and tools including SIEM, SOAR, domain monitoring, endpoint tooling, and cloud security tooling.
- Respond to security incidents and harden environments after incidents.
- Support control monitoring and remediation for compliance initiatives.
- Gather and analyze security metrics and resolve security issues involving cross-team dependencies.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in SecOps, DevSecOps, cloud security, threat detection and response, or security-focused software development.
- Hands-on experience automating security controls and managing cloud platforms including GCP, AWS, Azure, or OCI.
- Experience with Kubernetes environments and infrastructure automation, network segmentation, system hardening, container and cloud security, or security observability.
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems and SecOps workflows using Git and Terraform in cloud environments.
- Experience with one or more programming languages, including Golang and/or Python.
- Ability to make informed decisions with limited data, balance build-versus-buy decisions, and communicate security solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with security tool onboarding and optimization is strongly relevant.
