Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain GitHub Enterprise installations across on-premises and Azure environments.
- Synchronize GitHub Enterprise between Azure and air-gapped environments.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Artifactory in air-gapped environments.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management with Terraform and Ansible.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high service availability.
- Collaborate with software developers to optimize development processes and embed security practices.
- Conduct system tests covering security, performance, and availability.
- Mentor and guide engineers while providing technical leadership and support.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for space systems and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree, or a master’s degree plus three years of experience.
- Typically 5+ years of related experience.
- Expertise in one or more programming languages and advanced understanding of software development principles.
- Ability to design and architect complex software systems.
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum/Kanban.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor and guide other engineers.
- Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- Willingness and ability to obtain Security Plus or IAT2 certification is required.
- Proven DevOps or DevSecOps engineering experience and scripting experience with Python or Bash.
- Experience designing GitHub CI/CD pipelines and using Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, air-gapped environments, Windows, Linux, and Azure.
- Experience with ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, and C/C++ build tools.
- Understanding of security and software development best practices, with strong attention to detail and collaborative ability.
