Base Salary
$150k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, test, debug, maintain, and scale backend services and APIs for the Aria software product.
- Design and coordinate application interface, database model, and schema changes while scaling queries across product work streams.
- Interoperate with storage and retrieval systems for structured and unstructured data across the technology stack.
- Troubleshoot and improve system performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and frontend engineers on user requirements and data provenance.
- Develop deployment automation, observability, monitoring, and alerting tools in platform and infrastructure layers.
- Read and write Go, Python, and Protobuf and contribute to well-designed, test-driven software.
Requirements
- Fluency with Python or Go runtimes, build tools, and library ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of modern distributed systems and their application in startup environments.
- Experience managing and orchestrating container-based deployments and microservices.
- Command of complex application build configurations and workflows in a monorepository.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented architectures, networking, and security fundamentals.
- Technical leadership and commitment to delivering high-quality software on schedule.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a STEM field is preferred.
- Senior or staff-level software development experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Advanced programming experience with Rust, Scala, Java, C, C++, shell runtimes, or configuration languages is preferred.
- Familiarity with gRPC and the Protocol Buffer ecosystem is preferred.
- Experience deploying internet security solutions and general knowledge of neural network architectures and the AI/ML landscape are preferred.
