Responsibilities
- Build developer tools and workflows that improve engineering productivity and make software development, testing, and delivery easier.
- Maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
- Improve the reliability and performance of CI/CD workflows, including diagnosing slow builds, failed pipelines, and flaky tests.
- Develop internal tools, improve test infrastructure, and occasionally contribute to product features.
- Improve infrastructure and delivery observability using OpenTelemetry and ELK-related tooling.
- Build cloud-based agent tools and help engineering teams adopt effective workflow practices.
Requirements
- Experience developing and maintaining complex CI/CD workflows.
- Software development experience building internal tools, APIs, backend services, or automation.
- Experience with AWS or another cloud provider.
- Experience with telemetry and monitoring, including OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or Kibana.
- Strong computer science and system design fundamentals.
- Willingness to learn and use Ruby and/or Go.
- Preferred: experience optimizing CI build times, especially with Jenkins.
- Preferred: experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience with Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.
- Preferred: familiarity with build systems such as Webpack or Gradle.
