Responsibilities

Design, write, and maintain primarily Python-based software for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management.
Contribute to Terraform adoption, including state management, modularization, version control, and best practices.
Use Ansible and/or Saltstack to standardize and automate configuration across environments.
Develop CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
Implement and mature monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
Participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation and lead sustainable incident response, blameless postmortems, and continuous improvement.
Champion SRE principles, automation, and coding best practices across the organization.

At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing production environments in AWS and/or GCP.
Strong proficiency in Python and the ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable infrastructure code.
Experience with Terraform, including state management and modular design in complex environments.
Strong knowledge of Linux internals and Bash scripting and command-line operations.
Proficiency with Ansible and/or Saltstack.
Expert-level understanding of Git and collaborative workflows such as branching strategies and code reviews.
Experience transitioning legacy or manual operations to automated Infrastructure as Code approaches is highly desirable.
Experience with Docker or Kubernetes and modern container orchestration is highly desirable.
Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch is highly desirable.
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
