Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, support, and troubleshoot secure, scalable, and operationally efficient Azure cloud environments.
- Automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation tools.
- Support customer cloud transformation, migration, and modernisation initiatives.
- Develop and improve automation capabilities across cloud operations and platform delivery.
- Monitor and resolve complex cloud platform issues while maintaining customer service and operational excellence.
- Maintain cloud platform documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, customers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
- Contribute to Azure governance, security, compliance, and operational best practices.
- Support adoption of AI-ready cloud platforms and deployment of AI-related services and capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cloud engineering, cloud operations, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and modern cloud operating environments.
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, and security services.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, cloud automation, and scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices, DevOps methodologies, and cloud-native ways of working.
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues across cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and operational best practices.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, technical teams, and stakeholders, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managed services, consulting, or customer-facing technology environments.
- Foundational knowledge of AI services, enterprise AI platforms, retrieval-augmented generation, large language models, responsible AI, security, and governance.
- Desirable experience with Terraform, Bicep, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure landing zones, platform engineering, Kubernetes, container platforms, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or Azure AI Search.
- Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud certifications and a relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline are desirable.
