Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance, globally distributed Go applications.
- Design and implement platform capabilities that help internal customers configure, deploy, and operate software effectively.
- Develop and operate scalable, self-service systems and tools for configuring, distributing, deploying, upgrading, and operating applications.
- Support customers, unblock teams, and convert recurring issues into platform improvements.
- Own services end to end from requirements gathering and implementation through deployment, operation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, teammates, internal customers, and global teams.
- Help operate and support the team’s systems during Sydney business hours.
- Use automated testing and frequent deployments to deliver high-quality features iteratively.
- Balance latency, throughput, simplicity, scalability, reliability, and maintainability trade-offs.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience is required.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java is required.
- Strong analytical skills and an interest in solving complex problems programmatically are required.
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines is required.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux environments is required.
- Exposure to distributed computing and modern cloud-native software design is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams are required.
- Comfort working across the full application lifecycle, from development and testing through deployment and operations, is required.
- Prior financial markets or trading knowledge is not required; curiosity and willingness to learn are expected.
