Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
  • Investigate design approaches, prototype technologies, and evaluate technical feasibility.
  • Write high-quality distributed-system software and perform peer code reviews.
  • Develop and maintain key system features.
  • Drive engineering best practices and technical excellence.
  • Provide technical direction, establish architectural principles, select design patterns, and mentor team members.
  • Create and review software design, operational, and knowledge-transfer documentation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and object-oriented software design in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Preferred: knowledge of software engineering practices across the development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, operations, and agile methodologies.
  • Preferred: experience designing or architecting large-scale systems, or debugging, profiling, and implementing software engineering best practices.
