Responsibilities
- Design and develop Python and Bash scripts for production monitoring and operational automation.
- Monitor and support a highly distributed Linux-based trading system.
- Partner with Platform Engineering on server imaging, testing, deployment, and system configuration.
- Coordinate with trading, network, security, market data, and platform teams on production issues and new system setups.
- Provide production support for traders, strategists, and quantitative researchers.
- Improve system reliability, automation, and operational efficiency across the trading stack.
Requirements
- Must hold full working rights to work in Australia.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems is essential.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash is required.
- Experience supporting production or mission-critical systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues under pressure.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Financial services or trading environment experience is preferred but not required; understanding of financial instruments and markets is a plus.
