Responsibilities
- Provide technical services and leadership to customers on complex mainframe modernization projects.
- Design deliverables, assist with deployment of Rocket products, and implement new solutions under Delivery Architect direction.
- Create proof-of-concept and proof-of-value analyses and pilots.
- Conduct internal and external technical presentations and training.
- Lead technical solution implementation, communicate project status and risks, and provide customers with technical advice.
- Determine technical resource requirements, coordinate with project managers, estimate new requirements, and assess defects versus enhancements.
- Conduct or assign code reviews and support defect resolution through analysis of test results.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of relevant technical experience.
- Experience with complex IT project implementations, customizations, or maintenance.
- Technical experience in at least two listed areas, including mainframe programming, IBM systems, relational databases, operating systems, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong customer service, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Practical mainframe application modernization experience is highly desirable, including workload migration, code conversion, re-platforming, COBOL modernization, or cross-platform porting.
- Experience with mainframe data modernization, DevOps or Agile tools, and automation pipelines is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with Rocket COBOL products and additional mainframe languages or environments is preferred.
- Relevant business or IT architecture certifications and proficiency in another EU language are preferred.
