Base Salary
$60k - $135k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Build event-driven applications using Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups.
- Develop REST APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Work with distributed systems and real-time streaming platforms.
- Troubleshoot application and Kafka-related performance issues.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and participate in Agile development processes.
- Ensure application security, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Support continuous integration, deployment, monitoring, reporting, and customer-focused delivery.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry.
- Expertise in RESTful Web Services using JAX-RS.
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA and Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL databases.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of multithreading, collections, and JVM performance tuning.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker and Kubernetes; MongoDB or Cassandra; Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK; and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
