Responsibilities
- Run end-to-end technical discovery calls with Heads of Data, Data Engineering Managers, and CTOs across global markets.
- Design and present reference architectures showing how Hevo fits into customers’ existing data stacks.
- Run live, tailored product demonstrations and address unexpected technical questions.
- Own technical evaluations from initial conversation through closed deal by resolving deep technical questions and building customer trust.
- Build proofs of concept by configuring pipelines from source systems such as Salesforce, Outreach, Postgres, and MySQL into destinations such as Snowflake and BigQuery.
- Develop expertise in data integration platforms and cloud-native solutions including AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, and Google Cloud Dataflow.
- Partner with Account Executives on technical wins and Customer Success on post-sale handoffs.
- Share customer feedback and recurring patterns with Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience as a data engineer, analytics engineer, ETL/ELT developer, or data warehouse engineer.
- Experience building and operating production data pipelines, including managing schema changes, failures, and reliability issues.
- Strong SQL fundamentals and experience with at least one cloud data warehouse: Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Experience with at least one orchestration or transformation tool, such as Airflow or dbt.
- Exceptional spoken English, communication, presentation, technical narrative, and customer-facing skills.
- Comfort presenting technical material to groups of 5 to 15 people, including senior technical leaders, over video calls.
- Prior experience presenting or demonstrating technical work to an audience in any context.
- Genuine interest in customer-facing work.
- Preferred experience with CDC tools or data integration platforms, including AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Cloud Dataflow, or third-party tools.
- Preferred exposure to CRMs, advertising platforms, SaaS APIs, and OLTP databases.
- Public technical writing, conference talks, open-source contributions, or prior informal customer or international-team interaction are preferred.
