Responsibilities
- Design and implement custom computer vision algorithms from scratch for real-time performance.
- Develop and maintain C++ computer vision pipelines within autonomous mission systems.
- Collaborate with AI, robotics, and optical engineers on reliable edge solutions.
- Integrate deep learning models into broader computer vision systems.
- Track academic research and emerging techniques in computer vision and machine learning.
Requirements
- Deep proficiency in C++ and comfort working in high-performance real-time environments.
- Strong experience developing custom computer vision algorithms beyond library use.
- Solid understanding of computer vision, image processing, and machine learning principles.
- Experience with object detection, target tracking, 3D reconstruction, SLAM, camera calibration, behavior analysis, automated video surveillance, or related real-time vision systems is beneficial.
- Familiarity with OpenCV and similar vision toolkits is beneficial.
- Exposure to deep learning for image classification, recognition, or sequence modeling is beneficial.
- A Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
- Previous defense experience is highly desirable.
