Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, tooling, DevOps workflows, platforms, and environments.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving DevOps tools, platforms, application deployment, and infrastructure integration.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient application platforms and runtime environments.
- Ensure pipelines meet deployment standards, release requirements, security controls, and monitoring guidelines.
- Own decisions regarding deployment strategies, automation standards, and platform reliability.
- Participate in follow-the-sun operations and cross-shift handoffs to maintain stability and availability across regions.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, infrastructure and hosting teams, and other cross-functional partners.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers while promoting engineering best practices and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, site reliability, or platform engineering.
- Prior experience as a software developer and strong understanding of application architecture and development best practices.
- Programming experience in at least one language such as C#, GoLang, or Java.
- Hands-on experience applying DevOps principles and automation across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Proven experience designing, building, and supporting complex production-grade systems in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, SCCM, LanDesk, Docker, Terraform, and Packer.
- Experience with technologies including AWS, Azure, IIS, Apache, Tomcat, F5, Azure DevOps, and APM.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell, .NET, Python, Ruby, AngularJS, Node.js, and/or Go.
- Strong technical ownership, decision-making, accountability, distributed-team collaboration, and cross-time-zone communication skills.
