Base Salary
$210k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deeply engage with the core engine powering Spara's AI agents.
- Design and scale evaluation approaches as new agent types are added.
- Provide expertise in fine-tuning and training AI models.
- Make foundational technical decisions that influence the platform's architecture.
- Collaborate with leadership to shape the product and technical roadmap.
- Ship to production multiple times a day using a modern tech stack.
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering experience in NLP, search, retrieval, or related ML domains.
- Experience predating the current LLM wave with a solid understanding of fundamentals.
- Proven track record of designing and deploying sophisticated ML/AI systems in production.
- Strong opinions on evaluation methodology and experience building eval pipelines.
- Instincts around fine-tuning and understanding of tradeoffs involved.
- Ability to thrive in an early-stage environment with a senior team.
