Base Salary
$405k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build products that unlock scientific discovery.
- Partner with product management, design, and go-to-market teams to simplify complex workflows such as modeling and simulation with Claude.
- Work with research teams to improve models’ performance in science and engineering.
- Engage with academic and industry users to determine product priorities.
- Own technical design and end-to-end product delivery, shipping quickly rather than only executing specifications.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering, including ownership of technical design and product delivery.
- Experience building products from 0 to 1 in fast-moving environments and setting technical direction with limited precedent.
- Experience building AI products and translating model capabilities into applications people use.
- Ability to think holistically about user experience and create tools for scientists and engineers.
- Comfort working directly with technical domain experts and customers and translating those learnings into products.
- Preferred: 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including 2+ years at Staff or equivalent technical leadership level.
- Preferred: background in math, physics, materials science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or another science or engineering field.
- Preferred: experience building software for scientists or engineers, such as CAD, simulation, electronics design, or scientific computing tools.
- Preferred: experience as a founder or early engineer building tools for scientists or engineers.
- Preferred: experience working with research teams on domain-specific model capabilities, including evaluation frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a relevant field.

- Annual base salary range of $405,000–$485,000 USD.
