Responsibilities
- Produce well-structured, maintainable, reliable, and fit-for-purpose code.
- Refine and break down business requirements into implementable work items.
- Provide technical leadership, support the technical lead, and help other team members.
- Liaise with Architecture and other stakeholders on technical matters.
- Identify and suggest improvements to team and departmental working practices.
- Contribute to department initiatives and deliver work to schedule and specification.
Requirements
- Proven experience and/or genuine passion for software development.
- Degree-level education in computing, mathematics, science, or a related subject, or equivalent.
- Experience developing software with Java, Oracle, and Linux.
- Knowledge or practical application of agile methodologies.
- Experience delivering work to schedule and specification.
- A collaborative, accountable, proactive, client-focused, and adaptable approach.
- Preferred: experience with SOLID principles, software design patterns, REST APIs, test-driven development, web application security, and prompting AI for desired outcomes.
