Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and new products for commercially deployed applications.
- Define system requirements with product managers and users and participate in software design meetings.
- Write technical specifications, code, documentation, and installation and maintenance procedures.
- Perform application testing and debugging using current programming languages and technologies.
- Communicate with and train internal Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams on system applications.
- Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business audiences when needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Java 8, Spring Framework, multithreading, design frameworks, SQL, and collections.
- Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts and principles.
- Experience with web services, preferably REST APIs, and XML and JSON.
- Experience following coding, security, unit testing, and documentation standards, with knowledge of SonarQube and Checkmarx.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with Unix/Linux platforms and build management systems such as Maven and Gradle.
- Experience with GitHub, Agile QA/development processes, and the software development life cycle.
- Basic knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices, plus strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and self-starting skills.
