Base Salary
$169k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain monitoring systems, alerting pipelines, and health dashboards for real-time data-platform visibility.
- Participate in production incident response, including triage, resolution, stakeholder communication, and post-mortem documentation.
- Automate repetitive operational work such as access requests, backfill coordination, and pipeline health checks.
- Operate Snowflake infrastructure through Terraform, including access controls, cost monitoring, and warehouse configuration.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering on system design and code reviews focused on reliability and operability.
- Write and maintain runbooks, incident-response playbooks, and platform documentation.
- Improve platform reliability, query performance, and data accessibility for analysts and global teams.
- Recommend and implement improvements to tooling, processes, and operational practices.
Requirements
- 6–8+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful SRE, platform engineering, or data infrastructure experience.
- Proven experience contributing to production incident response, stakeholder communication, and post-incident analysis.
- Deep understanding of monitoring and observability, including alerting design, SLOs, dashboards, and root-cause analysis across distributed systems.
- Hands-on operational experience with Snowflake or an equivalent data warehouse, including access management, cost governance, and performance tuning.
- Experience with infrastructure as code; Terraform experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong debugging skills across cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Fivetran, dbt, Airflow, or equivalent data-pipeline tooling.
- AWS experience is preferred.
- Clear, proactive communication skills and the ability to explain technical incidents to business and analyst stakeholders.
- Interest in music and willingness to learn the music business.
