Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced gameplay mechanics using physics engines and related techniques.
- Rapidly prototype and iteratively improve gameplay systems.
- Apply game-design judgment, creativity, and humor to player interactions.
- Collaborate with system programmers, game designers, and artists to bring prototypes to final quality.
- Learn and use the in-house gameplay engine, systems, and tools.
- Manage tasks autonomously and deliver high-quality gameplay features on schedule.
Requirements
- Passion for game design and games in general.
- Experience developing with C++.
- Basic knowledge of physics engines and related algorithms.
- Intermediate Japanese language skill.
- Strong knowledge of other games and gameplay mechanics.
- Ability to analyze mechanics and explain precisely why they are fun.
- Ability to work quickly, autonomously, respectfully, and with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness and patience to learn, with a social and outgoing personality.
- Professional game-production experience is not required, but candidates must demonstrate gameplay-creation ability through personal projects.
