Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global platform teams, customers, solution architects, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
- Evaluate and adopt new platform services and features, document findings, and provide structured feedback.
- Design and communicate systems spanning IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and infrastructure as code.
- Respond to customer requests, manage platform changes, and document standard operating procedures, best practices, and limitations.
- Optimize platform solutions for performance, scalability, extensibility, cost, and resource utilization.
- Develop platform metrics and observability to identify bottlenecks and error-prone patterns.
- Deploy repeatable infrastructure with Terraform.
- Administer and operate Apache Kafka, including topic management, consumer group monitoring, broker configuration, and streaming pipeline troubleshooting.
- Deploy, scale, and troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads.
- Implement platform and data security controls, including role-based access control.
- Contribute to AI solutions that simplify and automate business workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of experience in platform administration and/or cloud engineering.
- Hands-on Apache Kafka administration experience, including topic management, consumer group monitoring, broker configuration, and streaming pipeline troubleshooting.
- Production or near-production experience deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads.
- Practical cloud administration experience on one or more public cloud platforms.
- Hands-on Terraform experience and working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Familiarity with machine learning, data science, generative AI, and agentic AI concepts and their infrastructure implications.
- Ability to work with moderate guidance, complete technical projects, collaborate across teams, and produce clear documentation, diagrams, and technical summaries.
- Preferred: strong foundation in or administration of Unix.
