Responsibilities
- Own and improve the large, complex codebase implementing Via’s core algorithms.
- Develop and maintain multiple mission-critical services.
- Maintain current algorithms and business logic and develop new technical products and systems.
- Improve system performance and responsiveness for Via’s booking application and other services.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps teams, algorithm developers, and researchers.
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on industry experience in backend development using Python.
- Experience with DevOps in cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, is a strong advantage.
- Experience architecting and maintaining cloud systems is a strong advantage.
- Solid background in software engineering methodologies and best practices, including Git and CI/CD.
- Ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively and independently, deconstruct complex problems, and deliver pragmatic solutions.
