Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the large and complex codebase implementing Via’s core algorithm.
- Develop and maintain multiple mission-critical production services.
- Improve algorithmic systems and business logic, including application responsiveness for passengers and clients.
- Develop new technical products and systems supporting Via’s operational needs.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps teams, algorithm developers, and researchers.
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on industry experience in Python backend development.
- Deep knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software engineering methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with DevOps and cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, is a strong advantage.
- Experience architecting and maintaining cloud systems is a strong advantage.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Ability to learn quickly, work pragmatically, solve problems systematically, and collaborate effectively.
