Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Manage and improve Linux infrastructure for performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.
- Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
- Develop system-level software, middleware, and APIs for internal platforms and services.
- Automate system workflows and infrastructure tasks using Python, Bash, and configuration-management tools.
- Build and maintain RPM packages and internal software repositories.
- Collaborate with Application Support, Development, and Security teams on secure CI/CD and platform integration.
- Diagnose and resolve system, operating system, network, and container-runtime issues.
- Implement system hardening, secure communications, and identity/access integrations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical infrastructure services.
- Document architectures, tools, and operational processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration and infrastructure or platform engineering.
- Production experience managing Kubernetes, preferably in bare-metal or on-premises environments using tools such as kubeadm, RKE, or OpenShift.
- Production experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong Python and Bash scripting and automation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux internals, kernel tuning, and performance diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with SaltStack, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, NTP/PTP, DHCP, and related infrastructure services.
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: RHCE or LFCE certification; containerd or Docker experience; registry management; GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux; security and compliance knowledge including CIS benchmarks or STIGs; and experience in regulated or low-latency environments.
