Base Salary

$160k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the systems, tools, and primitives that shape developer workflows, reliability, and engineering velocity.
  • Build and maintain internal platforms, developer tooling, and shared infrastructure used by product engineers.
  • Turn repeated patterns and one-off fixes into durable platforms, systems, and abstractions.
  • Develop and implement a point of view on how engineers should work through code, tooling, and defaults.
  • Improve engineering foundations and remove entire classes of errors through systemic solutions.
  • Help define the platform’s direction and advise leadership on how it should evolve.

Requirements

  • Track record of building and owning foundational systems that other engineers depend on.
  • Ability to ramp quickly, operate amid ambiguity, and make progress without fully specified problems.
  • Strong judgment balancing ideal solutions with engineering velocity.
  • Preference for systemic fixes and high-leverage solutions over one-off implementations.
  • Clear point of view on engineering practices and the ability to translate it into code, tooling, and defaults.
  • Experience working closely with engineers or teams as an enabler.
  • Preferred experience with internal platforms, developer tooling, shared infrastructure, agentic systems, LLM platforms, or large-scale data ingestion pipelines.
