Base Salary
$76k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with public sector organizations to support and resolve complex GitLab issues.
- Troubleshoot customer environments as a hands-on Linux administrator.
- Partner with Product and Development teams to clarify bug reports and contribute to product improvements.
- Create and update documentation based on customer interactions.
- Participate in pairing sessions with other Support Engineers to share knowledge.
- Contribute to building internal support tools and workflows.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency support.
- Support team growth by reviewing applications and participating in hiring discussions.
Requirements
- Must be a United States Citizen due to government security requirements.
- Experience managing customer-facing cases across the full support lifecycle.
- Strong Linux systems administration knowledge.
- Ability to use scripting languages like Ruby or Bash.
- Practical experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
- Skill in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and container orchestration technologies.
- Understanding of information security and compliance concepts.
