Base Salary
$245k - $325k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture of the SambaStack inference platform.
- Define and drive architectural strategy across engineering teams.
- Lead design reviews for major new capabilities and system changes.
- Proactively identify and resolve systemic risks.
- Establish and evolve architectural standards and best practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into architectural decisions.
- Serve as a technical thought leader and mentor for Software Engineers.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to inform the platform's technical roadmap.
- Architect new systems and capabilities for AI inference.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with organization-wide technical influence.
- Proven track record of owning large-scale distributed systems architectures.
- Expertise in building backend systems using Python, Go, or Rust.
- Expert-level understanding of Kubernetes and cluster-scale resource management.
- Strong command of distributed systems principles.
- Experience setting technical direction across multiple teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Track record of mentoring junior engineers.
