Base Salary

$178k - $257k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Shape the overarching technical vision and future architecture of Cisco IQ digital services and applications.
  • Lead hands-on implementation of next-generation intelligent enterprise and SaaS applications.
  • Design application-layer, contract-first, spec-driven architectures connecting business logic, user interfaces, backend systems, and reasoning models.
  • Embed autonomous and semi-autonomous agentic capabilities into business-critical workflows.
  • Develop production LLM-backed applications with agent orchestration, structured tool calling, and failure handling.
  • Design and manage distributed, cloud-agnostic architectures across public and private cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 12 years of experience in backend software architecture and core software development using Python, Node, Go, or Java.
  • Experience building and shipping complex enterprise or SaaS applications.
  • Production experience with LLM-backed applications, including LangGraph, custom state-machine runtimes, structured tool calling, and failure handling.
  • Experience with contract-first API design and schema modeling using OpenAPI, TypeSpec, GraphQL, or gRPC.
  • Preferred: domain expertise in networking protocols, large-scale infrastructure management, and system-level design.
  • Preferred: proficiency designing and managing cloud-agnostic distributed architectures across AWS, GCP, and private cloud environments.
  • Preferred: exceptional communication and executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and translate technical vision into business outcomes.
