Responsibilities
- Own Android platform architecture and AOSP-based ROM development.
- Define OS-level integration of AI capabilities, including system services and privileged APIs for AI agents.
- Design system-level permissions and security architecture.
- Evaluate Android platform limitations and determine required modifications or extensions.
- Work with hardware vendors and ODMs on device integration.
- Lead Android platform engineering and establish technical standards.
- Evaluate technical feasibility and trade-offs for the first phone.
Requirements
- Strong experience with the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
- Deep understanding of the Android Framework, system services, and Android internals.
- Experience with Binder IPC, Android permissions, SELinux, and system processes.
- Strong Java, Kotlin, and C++ knowledge.
- Experience building or modifying Android ROMs.
- Experience shipping Android platform-level features rather than only Android applications.
- Strong system architecture and technical leadership experience.
Benefits
