Responsibilities
- Contribute to the organization’s overarching multi-cloud strategy and manage business interdependencies.
- Establish cloud cost-awareness practices and executive dashboards for cloud spend and return on investment with Finance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional, global, security, risk, and technical delivery teams to resolve blockers.
- Support cloud transformation, staff reskilling, and tracking of organizational key performance indicators.
- Identify, assess, mitigate, and report architecture and operational risks in accordance with Nomura’s risk management policy.
- Contribute to CTO technology architecture vision, strategy, standards, and governance.
- Support the CTO Design Authority and socialize non-functional designs and architectural decisions with relevant governance groups.
- Develop and govern platform and solution architectures and designs, balancing functionality, service quality, cost efficiency, and standards compliance.
- Advise on best practices, processes, operating models, products, services, technologies, and standards for identified use cases.
- Monitor technology trends and advise CTO, CIO, Chief Architect, and business stakeholders on potential benefits and impacts.
- Promote architecture best practices, knowledge sharing, inclusion, and organizational capability.
Requirements
- Proficiency in cloud architecture leadership.
- Experience contributing to multi-cloud strategy, platform architecture, solution architecture, and technology governance.
- Ability to manage architecture, operational, security, and risk considerations.
- Ability to communicate strategic recommendations and influence senior leaders and global stakeholders.
- Ability to evaluate technology trends, trade-offs, standards, and operational or cost impacts.
