Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Provide independent Product Quality oversight for software-intensive medical, digital health, AI/ML-enabled, and cloud-connected products.
- Partner with engineering teams on requirements, architecture, design, implementation, verification, cybersecurity, and release-readiness reviews.
- Assess software lifecycle execution, requirements, design specifications, risk controls, traceability, verification strategies, and release evidence.
- Evaluate software architecture, integration designs, APIs, embedded systems, cloud-connected systems, platforms, and technical implementation risks.
- Assess configuration management, source control, build and release processes, CI/CD pipelines, software baselines, SBOMs, and deployment safeguards.
- Evaluate verification and validation strategies, automation frameworks, test coverage, defect trends, and unit, integration, system, API, performance, and end-to-end testing.
- Support threat modeling, security risk assessments, vulnerability reviews, FDA cybersecurity guidance, NIST frameworks, and Secure SDLC practices.
- Assess AI/ML quality controls involving data quality, model validation, bias mitigation, transparency, traceability, and risk-based validation.
- Support CAPA investigations, root cause analysis, audits, inspections, quality metrics, process improvement, and technical mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum eight years of experience in software engineering, software quality engineering, software test engineering, systems engineering, or related software development disciplines.
- Hands-on experience in software development, software testing, automation engineering, DevOps, systems engineering, or product development environments.
- Strong understanding of the complete software development lifecycle and ability to evaluate production implementations, source code, architecture, pull requests, automation frameworks, and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with or ability to assess software technologies such as C++, Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Experience with Git-based source control and modern software configuration management principles.
- Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of software build systems, deployment pipelines, release management, software traceability controls, and software testing methodologies.
- Ability to evaluate or develop automated testing solutions, including unit, integration, system, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of software quality, regulatory, cybersecurity, risk-management, architecture, reliability, maintainability, and testability practices.
