Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and ship core OS, platform, and embedded software components for Amazon consumer devices.
- Collaborate with product management and internal and external stakeholders to define and clarify requirements.
- Build features and tools used by thousands of developers and millions of customers.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across the software stack in resource-constrained environments.
- Own code and design quality and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: familiarity with agentic software development using tools such as Kiro, Claude, or Cursor.
