Base Salary
$215k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own company-wide infrastructure across data models, APIs, observability, and developer tooling.
- Establish standards for capacity, reliability, and infrastructure cost as Nooks expands to multiple products.
- Make foundational technical and data-access architecture decisions.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and pair on complex problems.
- Support reliable operation of high-volume systems and respond to incidents.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Depth in distributed systems, databases, or developer infrastructure.
- Production experience scaling systems through significant growth, including 10x or 100x expansion.
- Strong understanding of developer experience in fast-moving product teams.
- Comfort serving as a primary engineering contact during incidents.
- Based in San Francisco and willing to work in the office at least 3 days per week.
