Responsibilities
- Build data processing and exploration pipelines and ML infrastructure to power ZipRecruiter’s intelligence.
- Deploy cloud-based technologies for critical projects.
- Write, test, instrument, and deploy code to a Kubernetes environment.
- Help drive the innovation and evolution of ZipRecruiter’s distributed data-driven systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience focused on Python and big data technologies.
- Experience with Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, or other big data technologies.
- Strong fundamentals in coding, object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Preferred: 8+ years of professional software development experience focused on Python and big data technologies.
- Preferred: BS, MS, or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: experience with Apache Kafka, Flume, and NiFi, and familiarity with Delta Lake, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, Apache Hudi, Apache Beam, Apache Flink, Google Cloud Dataflow, Amazon Kinesis Data Analytics, or Azure Databricks.
