Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical subject-matter expert for information systems, infrastructure security, and cryptographic security measures.
  • Lead engineering activities for Post-Quantum Cryptography migration programs and translate strategy into operational outcomes.
  • Modernize cryptographic inventory processes through automated discovery and inventory tools.
  • Design and execute test plans for cryptographic tools, products, and services in laboratory and pre-production environments.
  • Assess quantum vulnerabilities, conduct risk assessments, and support migration to quantum-resistant encryption aligned with NIST standards.
  • Collaborate with ISOs and ISSOs to enforce security policies and maintain compliance with federal IT security requirements.
  • Research evolving PQC standards, tools, and methodologies and convert findings into actionable engineering guidance.
  • Contribute to complex cross-disciplinary program deliverables and communicate effectively with distributed teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Support Agile ceremonies, sprint coordination, stakeholder engagement, and meeting documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 5 years of information security engineering experience, including network security, cryptographic systems, and risk management.
  • CISSP or CISM certification.
  • Experience implementing security controls and policies in enterprise IT environments.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and automation.
  • Familiarity with NIST cryptographic standards, PKI, TLS, and Zero Trust Architecture frameworks.
  • Ability to independently research evolving technical domains and translate complex requirements into actionable tasks and processes.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for federal contract compliance.
  • Federal agency IT program experience, federal governance and compliance knowledge, PQC or NIST PQC algorithm experience, automated cryptographic discovery and inventory experience, DevSecOps pipeline familiarity, and FedRAMP experience are beneficial.
