Responsibilities
- Design and optimize real-time computer-vision pipelines for video detection, tracking, and recognition.
- Port and accelerate performance-critical code for aarch64 using NEON/SIMD, quantization, threading, and profiling.
- Build temporal reasoning that converts noisy per-frame outputs into reliable results.
- Integrate sensor fusion to detect states and events in the physical environment.
- Own benchmarking and ground-truth tooling for evaluating perception performance.
- Collaborate with firmware and product teams from sensor integration through operational decisions.
- Deploy and monitor perception pipelines across a fleet of devices.
Requirements
- Deep experience in classical and applied computer vision, including OpenCV, image geometry, and signal processing.
- Experience running computer vision on edge or resource-constrained targets such as ARM, embedded, or mobile devices.
- Strong Python skills and C/C++ experience for performance-critical code.
- Experience with real-time video pipelines, synchronization, tracking, and temporal reasoning.
- Ability to take ambiguous problems end to end and set technical direction independently.
- Preferred: applied deep learning for detection, recognition, or OCR.
- Preferred: sensor-fusion experience with ToF, IR, stereo, or monocular depth.
- Preferred: embedded Linux experience with Buildroot or Yocto, Wayland, systemd, and fast boot, or Android kiosk and CameraX experience.
- Preferred: hands-on hardware experience with sensors, PCBs, or industrial cameras.
